Consciousness Research Lab | MQI

Rigorous inquiry. Open collaboration. Multiple perspectives

At the Consciousness Research Lab (CRL), we investigate consciousness at the intersection of science, phenomenology, philosophy, psychedelic research, and wisdom traditions. We explore what consciousness is, what states it takes, and how it shapes our experience of self, others, and society.

We treat lived experience as data — putting the view from inside the mind in genuine conversation with what can be measured from outside it. We pair empirical research with contextual understanding, and follow the inquiry wherever it leads.

EXPERIENCE

Expanded States of Consciousness

Investigating altered, expanded and contemplative states of consciousness, and what they reveal about the nature of experience, mind and reality.

UNDERSTANDING
