Deepak Bansal
Deepak's work is driven by a fundamental question: What does it mean to be human? He explores this question through two complementary areas of inquiry: Indian philosophy and wisdom traditions, and the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence.

With over 20 years of experience across business, technology, and human development, Deepak brings a multidisciplinary perspective to questions of consciousness, meaning, intelligence, and human flourishing.

His background bridges Engineering (MTech, IIM Mumbai, India), Business (MBA, University of St. Gallen, Switzerland), and Philosophy (MA, California Institute of Integral Studies, USA), complemented by professional training in coaching (CPCC, ACC). This combination of analytical rigour, philosophical inquiry, and practical experience informs his work.

His interest in Indian philosophy and wisdom traditions centres on their understandings of consciousness, reality, and human existence. In dialogue with Western philosophy and contemporary science, he explores their relevance to how we understand ourselves and the world.

In AI Ethics, Deepak examines the implications of increasingly intelligent technologies for human judgment, responsibility, and society. He teaches AI Ethics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and is editor of AI Ethics in Practice, published by Springer.

Deepak has held senior leadership positions at Accenture, Deutsche Post DHL, and Zurich Insurance Company. He is also the founder of MQ Learning Academy, an EduQua-certified Swiss academy dedicated to human leadership in the age of AI.

A Swiss national of Indian heritage, he speaks English and Hindi fluently, with professional-level Spanish and advanced German.
